Work/Life Balance

Changing demographics are producing a labor force of both men and women seeking to balance conflicts between work and family. Balancing work and home life responsibilities is a challenge for many associates. By providing a family-friendly program, such as SCEA, Safeway is giving our associates the opportunity to enhance both their work and home environments.

Discounts and Events

Since 1989, SCEA has implemented a host of programs to serve our associates and their families. By offering discounts to amusement parks, social events, fitness centers, hotels and travel, free family picnics, children’s holiday parties, etc., SCEA provides our members and their families opportunities to spend quality time together. Discount programs save associates time otherwise spent shopping for bargains; associates may choose to attend events they may not have considered or been able to afford without SCEA.

Assistance Program

The SCEA Assistance Program offers a “helping hand” if you find yourself in a financial crisis. It’s “friends helping friends.”
